David Del Valle was born in Medellín, Colombia in 1988. He studied Industrial Design at the Pontifical Bolivarian University. After working in the metal-mechanical industry for three years, he founded his furniture and objects design studio, Tu Taller Design, in November 2012. He currently serves as the creative director of Del Valle Studio, an interior design studio that bears his surname.

His work has been exhibited at design fairs such as Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven, Salone Satélite in Milan, Maison&Objet Paris, Wanted Design New York, Ventura Lambrate Milan, EXPO Dubai, Brussels Design Market, London Design Festival, and he has curated the London Design Biennale.

David aims to create artistic and functional speculations, employing astonishing processes in their materialization. He also strives to challenge cultural paradigms through a global design approach, taking into account a difficult, yet unique and inspiring context.
